Middle Object Sync with the Entity

I'm just wondering how does the middle object gets synch with the entity, is it only during the initia phase on loading? Because I'm having a issue right now on my form, I have this feature called "add more contact" which add an extra entity to the collection when the command is executed, but when i issue a notifychange on the entity, all my previous changes to the form gets reset. Is there a way to capture the user input before saving it at the same time execute a NotifyChange?
