ZK is best suited for creating interactive web-applications. Most websites are about presenting information in a fancy way. So I would recommend to use a mixed approach: traditional website design (via HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for the main layout and ZK for interaction.

Have a look at the ZUL-examples for the ZK-based Content-Management-System "Jease". Whereas the complete backend is developed on top of ZK, Jease allows to integrate ZUL-scripts as content-objects for the website easily.

ZK can easily be intregated into any existing design as demonstrated with Jease.
