The ZK-CommunityEdition is released under LGPL which is a commercial friendly OS-license. For professional and enterprise releases you can ask for an dedicated open-source license or pay the license fee for closed-source/commercial projects.

For me (I'm not involved with Potix company) this is a very fair strategy and I trust Potix in releasing a high-quality community release in the future.
