HTML in label?

Am I right that it is not possible to tell a label that its caption should be rendered as HTML? I have chemical formulas like:

H²O

Do I need to change the labels to HTML components?

Thank you, but that didn't helped ... we solved the problem now by replacing a lot of labels with "html" components.
