Dropdown gets stuck in open state and don't go away when navigating to a different component

I have a drop down which remains open and stuck to the screen when I go to a another screen. This is very annoying because I have to refresh the whole page to get rid of this. This is an intermittent issue which comes in sometimes

In order to help you have to provide some additional info:

When you say that you go to another screen you mean by clicking a component or you have two different pages-tabs?
Could you please post your code? I suspect that there might be some event or some specific code that could lead to this.
