I asked how to register a client event (visible) on the serverside (src).

The answer was:

    setAttribute("org.zkoss.zk.ui.updateByClient", true);
    setWidgetListener("onHide", "this.smartUpdate('visible', this._visible);");
    setWidgetListener("onShow", "this.smartUpdate('visible', this._visible);");

Now I want to "react" to the onShow/onHide events on the server: for example an EventListener which prints out (serverside!) "hide"/"show".

I tried already:

  • there is no event for onShow/onHide
  • the only thing, that gets printed is javascript (alert('test')
  • to @Override smartUpdate, with no success

Does anyone have an idea, how to "add" an Java EventListener?

The intention is to save the order/visibility of every column for each user, so if he visits that page again, it looks the same.
