Hi! last month we started using ZK for our development. But we are deciding to shift to ZK 7. Unfortunately we are quite worried that we need to recode what we have done so far. We used mostly MVVM approach and also we only have a little time left. Questions are, are there any code that needs to be changed? If so, what are they and will it take us some time to refactor our codes? Thank you!

@sjoshi That's bad! The examples and the documentations are based in 6.5. Thanks for the heads up!

ZK Team

The main improvement in ZK 7 is about the theme system. If you are using default ZK theme then it is very easy to upgrade from 6.5 to 7. There are only a few changes, for details please check the "upgrade notes" at the bottom of the release note.

If you do have custom themes and wish to apply these 6.5 based custom theme to ZK 7 then some efforts are needed. This is because to fully utilize HTML 5/CSS 3 and to bring a high performance and easy-to-customize component set in ZK 7, we have redesigned the DOM structure of many components. To apply your ZK 6.5 based custom themes to ZK 7 please reference the upgrade notes in the Style Customization Guide.
