The way this forum is set up, if you want to follow up on one of your posts or provide more detail or things you've tried etc, you're stuck putting it as an answer since the comments section only allows about 300 characters or so, which of course is way too little especially if you wanted to add source code. If you follow up in the Answers section it's misleading since you haven't really answered the question, but you really have no choice some times.

Why not either:

1) Dont' have a limit on comments and allow comments to have a full blown html editor like the answer section or

2) Modify the large 'answer' section so that you have to mark it as an "answer" to really have it be an answer. Otherwise it's just a follow up to the original post.

Please follow some standard Forum like Stackoverflow You can edit your question if your question is not proper this is the way to ask the question in forum

statckoverflow, ubiquitous as it is, has the same problem. The problem with editing the question is it can make the comments under that question extremely confusing unless the author is extremely clear what he edited at a later date (imo, author should never edit the initial question..append is ok)
