Best place to start may be to search the forum for Jasperreports - There are integrated features in ZK to make the display of JasperReports easier.

Without a bit more knowledge of app, that is where I would start.

JAsperreports allows you to define SQL within report, and you can pass SQLConnection to that report OR
You can use HibernateBeans OR resultSet to pass data into report at runtime

Google for iText. There's books too. That's a library for manipulating/creating/converting pdf format.

PS: I know of guys who searched in rapidlibrary for iText and find an eBook. Bad boys.

Generate a PDF file?

I am using ZetPDF SDK number of time. It is too easy to develop PDF functionality using this SDK. You can download the SDK from here. (zetpdf.com/ - PDF library for .NET, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, Mono, WPF, Silverlight)
