FEATURED COMPONENTS
First time here? Check out the FAQ!
Can someone summarize the difference?
Please take a look at New Features of ZK 5. In sort, we rewrote the client-side engine and redesigned the protocol between the client and server, and simplified the architecture, while adding a lot of new features.
ZK 5 final is targeting on early December. I recommend you to use ZK 5 if you have time to test your application with ZK 5 thoroughly. If not, it is safe to stay with ZK 3.6. Like we did for other older versions, we will keep maintaining it. Of course, new features will be added to ZK 5 mostly, while the stability is the major concern for the upgrade of the older versions.
Most of ZK 3 applications can run directly with ZK 5. Some might require recompilation. Some might require adjustment. Please take a look at Upgrade Notes. And, tell us if you run into any problem. Thanks.
Hi, Tomyeh, only one question, i'm working on a project that use maven as reactor, there is any plan to put a zk 5 rc or fl in the central repository? I would lime to test the new stack without have to change project managment.
ZK 5 RC was uploaded, but we don't upload freshly version.
Sorry, it was a mistake. Maven repository doesn't allow the version with dash. We will rename it (5.0.0.RC) and upload again.
Good news! Thank you very much!
Only for information but the latest release in maven central is still the 3.6.2.
Any plan for the 5.0.0.RC ?
........ i now i'm boring but the wait is hard :)
So the jars are equal named like the older versions you can copy them in a manually added .m2 repository folder and change the pom.xml
that it loaded it from there locally.
best
Stephan
Thanks for the hint, simple and useful i had not really thought!
ZK 5 RC have been uploaded to the Maven repository.
Hi Tom,
I am new to ZK. But I am going to using ZK with Spring Framework. Should I download the v5 enterprise edition since I saw ZK Spring in this verison. How come if I want to using v5 enterprise ZK freely? What's your suggestion? Should I change to back version 3.6.3 enterprise version for free usage?
Thanks
