The roadmap indicates that there should be work done on a netbeans version sometime in 2009. Any more information you could divulge?

We wish we can fulfill this requirement. However, we are short of resource ...:(. In the mean time, you can try REM the plugin for Netbeans.

I use ZK with Netbeans with the REM plugin happily. Of course, there aren't all the nice builders and code generators and wizards, but then they never quite seem to do what I want anyway, so I'm quite happy to just do it manually. I find that once you get the hang of ZK, it's pretty quick to develop stuff anyway. I'm currently writing a GenericDAO class that you can use to easily databind your objects to tables, meaning that you can get screens out quicker without the use of the builders of ZK Studio. I'm going to ask the ZK guys if I can contribute it to the ZK project. I'll keep you posted.

PS: Both my friend and I tried to switch from Netbeans to Eclipse to use ZK Studio, but Eclipse was so incredibly slow, we couldn't handle it and went right back.

Hi SparkySpider! Thanks for reply. I use Netbeans with REM plugin too. But i think that use ZK Studio is better.

We Tryed to go from Netbeans To Eclipse and, for reasson like simplicity and speed, we stay in netbeans.

I hope that the pluggin for netbeans be ready some day :D !!!

Hi lbetanzo,

I have written the GenericDAO class that I was talking about. It really makes reading tables a lot easier. Haven't gotten round to the insert bit yet. You can download the jar, sources, and/or examples at http://genericdao.kenai.com. If you would like to contribute, please do!

Thanks,

Mark
