Hello together,

With this error in the browser console: image description

With the old zk version this works completly fine, and with the new version suddently this error appeared.

Does someone know this problem? What can we do to prevent this error?

Best Regards, Matthias

"Cannot read property 'xyz' of undefined" is the JS equivalent of a NullPointerException ... As kind of errors can happen under many circumstances so there's no single thing you can do. First you'll have to find the root cause of this ... the stacktrace itself isn't very informative in this case. The only hint is that this happens during widget binding (when DOM elements are created). In the browser console you can enable a switch to pause the JS executions on uncaught errors. Then it's possible to inspect the current variables causing this. They will contain the widgets (representing the server side components) which are involved in this error.

Maybe that gives you hint where the problem comes from.

In case you identify the component (combination) causing this problem please provide the details here.

Unrelated to the above... often during/after a version upgrade (if not managed by maven/gradle) the jar files might be using mixed versions causing all sorts of undefined behavior, so please make sure your server side deployment starts up without inconsistent version warnings/errors.
