Hi :-)

Just a question about the ZK development:

I can see two parallel developed branches of the ZK versions: the 8 and the 9 branch. We found out that switching to version 9.5.0 was making our legacy system slow, so we decided to follow the 8 branch (current 8.6.4.1).

Now my questions:

  1. What could be the reason for the poor performance under 9.5.0
  2. Can we be sure that the development of the 8 branch will continue in the future and that there will be further updates?

Our system parameters: Web application with Java 8, no additional Javascript, Eclipse, Tomcat 7.0.107

Thank you for the fast respose!

For internal security reasons, it is not possible for me to provide additional details. But the link to the trouble shooting guide and the statements about the further development of the versions helped. Many Thanks!

Performance issues are difficult to guess about but quite easy to roughly pinpoint where the problem occurs.

Here our related performance trouble shooting guide covering how to identify where the system is spending most of the time.

So if you can share any details I can try to assist here in the forum. In case you can't share any additional details please contact our support.

The current development happens in 9.5+. 8.6.x will only receive the security or other critical patches/fixes.
