Hello Team.

In My screen, I have a data entry grid with N number of rows and 5 columns. User can directly type in the column and move up and down. Everything is fine, but when user moves to next column or row, for a fraction of section, progress bar shown and disappears. Users want to disable that. So we added the following code in the top of the ZUL

<style> .z-loading-indicator { display: none !important; } .z-loading{ display: none !important; } </style>

Now there is no progress bar. But in the same screen, we have some other long operation work. Since we handled in the zul level, it does not know when long operation is performed also. So the question is, how to disable the progress bar in grid or how we can hide the progress bar for a particular component

ZK shows the built-in "processing" message when not receiving an AU request after 900 ms (default).

No need to hide the "processing" message" You can specify a longer time in zk.xml, make the delay longer than the move-up/move-down operation but shorter than the long operation. So that when you move up/down, the "processing" doesn't show but it will show for the long operation.

Please see https://www.zkoss.org/wiki/ZKConfigurationReference/zk.xml/Theclient-configElement/Theprocessing-prompt-delayElement

There is another approach: hide "processing" for a specific event. Please check http://zkfiddle.org/sample/h2r561/1-hide-processing

this is not a matter of "Luck" there's no chance involved. Hawk provided a runnable example that successfully deactivates the processing animation during for the listitem's onSelect event. Your video looks like you are performing multiple other events like click/focus, open combobox.

You started this thread regarding keyboard up and down events, which translate into onSelect in a listbox. If you have other events that take longer you can set the implicit flag also for those. But we can't help unless you provide some runnable code that actually demonstrates your problem.
