Hi guys,

just a meta topic... Please use another forum software. Or re-configure this one. Sorry, the ZK community is not Stack Overflow. There are not dozens of postings every minute, etc. so the chances of collecting the gamification points is simply slim for 99% of all users, but for a useful discussion about ZK, the ability to comment, etc. is very important.

So, please either switch to a forum that does not have "thousands of users every minute" as a core requirement OR change the settings so that people do not need arbitrary points to comment, vote, etc. I really dread to use this forum, since it lacks most things I expect from a discussion forum - but lacks the user base of stack overflow to actually make it work.

So what? Should every ZK user start making some threads that people will like just to be able to comment? Sorry, that's not a workable solution.

I didn't gave you a pitty vote, I agree that users with 1 karma should comment their own threads or own answers. For avoiding useless spam, the other cases can have a restriction.

That was not the intent. Does this forum have a spam problem? Or does it have a near-useless problem? What problem would be more important to solve to help the ZK community and make ZK more widespread in the end?

Yes, there is a spam problem. A lot is already filtered out and I help deleting those who I see and not yet threated, but ZK does a good work here of keeping it clean.
