Label text does not wrap in a "scrollview"

If I run the code at the bottom of this post all is fine, the text fits the browser window width (whatever that may be), the text wraps and the screen is scrollable vertically.

BUT

If I replace the "div" with "scrollview hflex="1", the label text no longer wraps. The label text is too wide and I get a horizontal scroll bar.

Any ideas?
