Fileupload does not work in modal window

I want to implement a file upload button. This works fine when I put it into a "normal" page like this

<button label="Upload" upload="true" />

When I click the button the dialog for choosing a file opens. But when I put the same button into a modal window and click it, the dialog does not open.

Any ideas what might cause this strange behavior? I'm using ZK 7.0.0.
