Gradient for Border of a div or any Component..?

Can any one Help me how to apply Gradient for Border of a div or any Component on a specific Side..?

for Example,

in Css we use

.z-listbox{ border-bottom:1px solid red;}

In the same way i need a border with gradient.

instead of color "red" mentioned above, i need a gradient.

Oh, I prefer to do it in photoshop or fireworks. To do it in css is so tough to me.

The example you give is NOT gradient. For gradient you have to use a gradient image.

note: not every browser support this.
