no placeholder for listbox "select" mold?

There is no placeholder attribute available for listbox "select" mold component.

   <listbox rows="1" mold="select" tooltiptext="something"
    width="150px" id="something" hflex="1"
    model="@load(vm.something)"
    itemRenderer="com.csdcsystems.amanda.common.SelectOptionRenderer"
    selectedItem="@bind(vm.selItem)">
    </listbox>

Kindly look help me out with this,I can't use combobox due to some reason.
