Hello guys,

I have an issue with ZK repository cloning. I am trying to clone the ZK Repository I tried thrice but every time,it fails at somewhere around 51 %. Is it connectivity issue or something else that I am missing ?

Please check the screenshot.

Any suggestions are welcome. :)

Kind Regards, Sandeep

It is more than likely the fact that the connection drops/times out so on. However you can resume.

I haven't used the windows github tool that much but as far as I know you can open a shell on the repository "Open a Shell here".

Once you have done this try the command "git pull" without the quotes. This should resume it.

Hey thanks tmillsclare for your response.I tried the clone process again from the Windows Github Tool, but again it failed at around 53 %. Where do I actually open the shell as I do not see any repository being created on my hard drive ?

Error Message: failed to clone the repository 'zkoss/zk'

Hey sandeep, just seen your comment.

This is definitely a git problem, I have had it happen myself on larger repos. Basically the "open the shell" option should be available under the "local repositories" list. If the project hasn't downloaded properly then it may not be available there.

The above comment should say "local repositories" area.

Failing that sandeep, I highly recommend for the initial clone that you use the command line (even in windows) that way you can resume the clone with a "git pull" when it errs.

Hey Sandeep, yes that's true cloning a large repository from github is generally a pain due to timeouts, I have experienced that myself! I am glad it is sorted though for you!
