How to setEditable= true when onSelect of listbox is fired?

Hi all,
I have a list box consisting of a few textboxes, buttons and a dropdown. By default all the components are in read only mode. I want to make all the fields editable, when the user clicks the checkbox in front of that particular row.(I'm getting the chkboxes by setting checkmark=true in listbox). How do I achieve the same?
