MVVM vs bugs

Take for example this bug where trendy buttons are not displayed properly. In case of MVC as a workaround I would invalidate both buttons every time after bandbox is opened. But how do you deal with situations like that in case of MVVM? Should I wire components and invalidate them in the ViewModel or is there better ways of doing that?

This bug fixed in zk version 6.5.1 you have to use this version
