Deselect a listbox item once clicked by clicking elsewhere

Hallo guys,

So I've been running through the ZK tutorials with code largely the same to wait can be seen in the end result here http://books.zkoss.org/wiki/ZK_Getting_Started/Creating_a_Database-driven_Application

The issue I have is, I click an item - the item is then selected until I refresh the page. I want to be able to have the selectedItem be deselected through clicking elsewhere or on it again and when I click update for the entry.
