How to upload directory with its files and subdirectory

Hi,
FileUpload component can upload file or files but not directories
How can I upload a directory with its children(files, subdirectories) ?

You won't until HTML 5 comes about. It's just how the HTML spec is...

Is there is a workaround to use the current FileUpload component or another component to upload a directory? I am new to web development and I don't know how other sites developed such feature

I am afraid there is no way to upload a whole directory.
You may ask the user to tar/zip the whole directory first.
