WARNING: This edition of ZK is for evaluation purposes only and will terminate after sixty days from the first date of installation. For more information please consult the LICENSE file in your respective ZK distribution. Should you require an extension to the evaluation period, please contact us at [email protected].
I just download normal ZK 5 version.
Please let me know... what's going on about LICENSE.
Thank you very much.
Hi nextbiz,
Please take a look at the ZK download page: http://www.zkoss.org/download/zk.dsp
ZK is offered in 3 editions with different licensing options. You can choose the edition that best meets your needs.
If you download and use ZK CE, you will not see the message. The reason why you are seeing this message is because you have downloaded the evaluation copy of PE and EE from the "Evaluation Downloads" section; or, you have previously downloaded evaluation copies and did not remove the files from your system.
For more information on licensing, please visit: http://www.zkoss.org/license/
If you need further assistance, please send an email to: info AT zkoss DOT org
Jeanher,
I have downloaded the zk-bin-5.0.0.zip from the "Open Source Downloads" section (not the "Free Evaluation Downloads" section) on http://www.zkoss.org/download/zk.dsp and have the exact same message as nextbiz in my logs. I do not remember if I had installed an evaluation copy in the past.
Would ZK stop working after 60 days even though it is not the evaluation copy that I downloaded? If yes, what should be done to prevent it from happening?
Thanks for your help.
To check if you have previously downloaded evaluation copies, you can check if you got "zkex.jar" and "zkmax.jar" in your system. They are PE/EE evaluation files.
If you wish to use pure CE, please remove these evaluation files. For further assistance, please write to info AT zkoss DOT org
:) Just found I had the same error, got searching, was just about to write a heated email and then figured out - it's the demo. It'd be great to have a demo of JUST the free features... kind of got my hopes up when I saw the fish eye menu.
Regards,
Nevyn.
@Dataguy12,
no one can confirm that.
Yes, if you remove the zkmax.jar and zkex.jar, you can work without any problem, if the license is illegal.
