How i can add a listener to my desktop so that i can know whene if the client closed his desktop

in other words: How can my server see that the users computer is down !!!!

ZKoss like other web frameworks works with the http protocol: request/response

There is nothing in the middle. The only thing is a SessionObject that a server can hold.
And so he can see that the same user have send a request last minute.

Around this SessionObject a framework can hold all objects the user have created
in his session. That's the whole magic: not more not less

At last standing the timeout of the session cleans the server.

So, i mean it's not possible.

no i will not hit you and thanks for your response, but i don't know if you have ssen th ZK architecture http://www.zkoss.org/doc/architecture.dsp i want to know how i can make ZK Client Engine fire an event to the server whene the client close his browser.

for the session time out i noticed that the server push prevent it to be reached. for i am searching for a solution with desktop listener.
