ZK portlet in Liferay

Hello to the ZK fraternity,

We have a requirement of developing a ZK application (portlets) in Liferay 5.2.1. Can somebody share the complete procedure to develop and deploy ZK portlets in liferay. I have tried with bits and pieces of examples available. But I am not able to get the portlet to run. After deploying the zk portlet appears as a plugin in Update Manager of Liferay. But I am not able to figure out how to get it to run as a portlet in Liferay.
