Google Maps getBounds function

I have been working on a GIS application that maps our crops data into a google map (I am using ZK 3.0.4 but planning to convert to 3.0.5). Everything is going well except the case when the result of the query exceeds 1000 data points (we currently have ~63000 records). Now, I already have an algorithm that would make use of a grid to avoid loading too many data points at once. But my problem is that I need to find the current BOUNDS of the Google map (which would update everytime the user moves or zoom in/out of the map). The javascript API of Google Maps has getBounds() method that "returns the the visible rectangular region of the map view in geographical coordinates". Does ZK's Gmaps has a corresponding method for the "getBounds()" function of Google Maps? I have been looking for this for days now, and I am still not able to find any. If there is still no direct Java method of this function, is there another way to get the current bounds of the map? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
