How can I setup Eclipse (Web Tools Project - WTP 1.0) to work with ZK?
Is there any plugin available?

I use the ZK toolkit inside Eclipse. All I did was make sure that my Java project's build path had all of the ZK jars added. So now I get the member insight when coding. very helpful.

-1.0.1-200602171228/wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-1.0.1-200602171228-win32.zip ) ? or just the Eclipse SDK?

i used the following description to setup zk and tomcat in eclipse WTP:
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-tapestry/HowToSetupEclipseWtp
skip steps 1..4 (steps 3,4 can probanly be adapted to ZK file extensions and templates).
use steps 5,6 as they are...
step 7... disable caching for ZK... would be necessary for developement, but doesn't work until now...
step 8 create a dynamic web project... e.g. TKTest
step 9... copy the ZK *.jar files in WEB-INF/lib step 10... create your hello.zul in WEB-INF ...as in the quickstart...
every time a file changes the Webapp is resynchronised and restarted, without restarting tomcat...
http://localhost:8080/ZKTest/hello.zul
until now changes in hello.zul have no effect ...probably because of cache

caching... ok... as mentioned in another thread... ZK detects the changes after
5 seconds... now every thing seems to be fine...

Dear oberinspector,
Can I invite you to post to the ZK's How-Tos the detail steps regarding how to setup ZK and Tomcat in Eclipse?
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/ZK/How-Tos
The community would appreciate it.

yes... i can do that... the next days...
until now my zk experience is only 2 days so don't expect to much...
i have done some things with hibernate and took a look at tapestry in the last weeks... At the moment i try to find out wether zk can replace tapestry, or can extend tapestry with a rich ui...

ok... i made a basic description by referring the original very detailed Tapestry Eclipse HowTo:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/ZK/How-Tos/HowToSetupEclipseWtpForZK
please adapt and extend with more ZK knowhow...
the wikibooks.org wikiserver seems to be very slow... it was not much fun to write it there... (same as this forum with this minimal textbox...) probably a projekt like ZK deserves an own wiki and an own forum (with capabilities to
post code)... the media wiki is ok and easy to setup... a forum i used:
http://newsboard.unclassified.de/

Thanks.
The activity of forum is one of measures to rank projects in SF. We cannot move until ZK is famous enough :(
