Problem with Scrollable Grid

Hello,

I have a grid with fixed size, the rows are added programmtically.
First there is no data, so no scrollbars are visible. After adding rows, the size doesn't suffice, so the grid becomes scrollable. But there is not only a vertical scrollbar as expected. Also a horizontal scrollbar is added, since the grid became too wide after the vertical scrollbar was added.
This only happens if the grid has column headers, without it works fine.
Is there a way to define the grid with a vertical scrollbar even the are not enough rows to scroll?
