FEATURED COMPONENTS
First time here? Check out the FAQ!
I use the zk 8.5 and zk studio with eclipse neon. My problem is that I can't find the zul visual editor so that I can drag the components of the palette into the zul page and see them like the older zk studio versions. I tried to add the visual editor library from the last zk studio version that worked, but I have incompatible errors.
Is there a way to use the visual editor (or another) for designing zul pages with the palette instead of programming with tags
Thanks in advance.
Greetings
Most users use Visual Editor for instant preview, and such feature has already been covered by IDE plugins like run-jetty-run or similar tools in recent years.
ZK Engineers also use these tools internally to boost our productivity so we recommend you to try it out. You can take a look at this thread which contains the instructions to use such IDE tools: http://forum.zkoss.org/question/109541/zk-visual-editor-download/?answer=109545#post-id-109545
Isabel,
What you ask isn't really there.
The coding through tags is still easy and fast, and if you run jetty like jeanher said, you have an instant preview with just hitting F5 if you only change the zul.
If you changed java code then you need JRebel or just restart jetty.
ZK has a cheatsheet for the command binding, maybe they could also make one for components marked with most important properties you could use.
Chill.
