CKEditor 4 was migrated to version 5 as a complete re-write. The component available in zk is 4.7.0 We would like to use CKEditor 5.
We can't seem to find documentation for api that ZK CKEditor uses. We need to analyze what features ZK-CKEditor provides that we'll not be able to use if we use the official CK library.
Can someone help?
ZK CKeditor 4.7.0.0 is a wrapper for CKEditor 4.7 providing a Java API around the CKeditor Javascript API. It is designed for ease of use in a ZK project.
From CKEditor's website, CKEditor 5 is still in its alpha, not completely ready for all features and browser compatibility: https://docs.ckeditor.com/ckeditor5/latest/builds/guides/overview.html#when-not-to-use-builds
ZK will evaluate the upgrade after it is more stable.
