I am sure it is possible. You'll find the available options in the official Spring Initializr Documentation. Which contains sections on how to add dependencies.

If you simply want to get started quickly we provide an example zk spring boot project with available source code on github.

UPDATE: in order to make this more seamless the current plan is to improve ZK to streamline the spring boot integration. Then a convenient separate maven dependency (e.g. zk-spring-boot-starter) will help to improve this further and cover (felt) 95% of the manual work. An integration into something like Initialzr makes sense only when the preconditions are met and might only serve as a minor convenience improvement. So yes we are thinking about it.

I would have thought that ZK might want to invest in this to raise their profile

a zkspringboot-starter is now available as a maven dependency:

FINAL UPDATE (for now): so far we (ZK) think the starter dependency is flexible enough, not needing an integration into initializr just to save a few steps while setting up an initial project
